Roots and Beginnings

Let’s start with a little background. While I currently reside in the northeastern United States, my roots extend all the way back to Japan. Yes, it’s quite an international mix! I’m happily married with two wonderful daughters and two furry feline companions. It’s been quite the journey since I first set foot on American soil over two decades ago!

A Journey of Creativity

My artistic journey began in Japan, where I spent two enriching years honing my skills in college. Upon moving to the USA, I continued to pursue my passion for art at a local community college, specializing in visual arts. After graduation, I worked as an artist at a T-shirt company for a few years before life’s twists and turns led me down new paths – marriage, kids, and all the joys and challenges that come with them.

Fusion of Passions

Around 15 years ago, I ventured into the world of web design, working from home alongside my husband’s business. But amidst the web design hustle, my love for drawing remained unwavering. With a blend of WordPress know-how, SEO savvy, and a touch of coding skills, I decided to create a platform to share my artwork with the world.

And thus, Pearly Arts came into existence in August 2021! My vision for Pearly Arts is simple yet powerful: to provide a hub where creativity thrives and art is celebrated.
