Hi there! I'm the artist behind Pearly Arts.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet — a one-woman creative studio where I hand-craft original illustrations, cheerful clipart, and colorful printable graphics. Every single design here was made with love, care, and a whole lot of joy.

How Pearly Arts Came to Life
Thank you so much for visiting my little creative corner of the internet. Pearly Arts began from a simple love of drawing cheerful artwork and creating things that make people smile. Over the years, it slowly grew into a place where I could combine my passion for illustration, web design, and creativity into something I could share with people around the world.
Although I now live in the United States with my husband, our two daughters, and our two cats, my roots are originally in Japan. Looking back, my journey has been shaped by both cultures, and I think that blend has influenced the way I see creativity and design today. Some of my happiest memories involve drawing, experimenting with colors, and finding inspiration in small everyday moments.
My artistic journey started many years ago in Japan, where I studied art and learned the foundations of visual expression. After moving to the United States, I continued studying visual arts and later worked as an artist for a T-shirt design company. It was such a fun and exciting experience because it allowed me to explore graphic design in a more practical and creative way.
Life eventually became busier with marriage and raising my daughters, but my love for art never disappeared. Even during the busiest years, I always found myself sketching ideas, experimenting with designs, or thinking about new creative projects. Creativity remained a constant part of my life.
Around fifteen years ago, I discovered another creative passion: web design. Working from home alongside my husband’s business, I began learning WordPress, coding, SEO, and digital design. At first, it felt completely different from drawing, but over time, I realized both art and web design shared the same thing at their core — creativity. I loved building websites just as much as I loved illustrating.
Eventually, I began dreaming about creating a space that combined both worlds. I wanted a website where I could share original artwork while also using the web design skills I had spent years developing. That dream became Pearly Arts.
Pearly Arts officially launched in 2021 with a simple goal: to create fun, colorful, and easy-to-use clipart that helps people bring their own creative ideas to life. Whether someone is designing classroom materials, creating Cricut crafts, decorating planners, making invitations, building social media graphics, or simply looking for something cheerful to brighten a project, I wanted Pearly Arts to feel welcoming and inspiring.
Many of the illustrations on Pearly Arts are inspired by things I personally love, including retro flowers, tropical summer themes, cute animals, seasonal decorations, playful colors, and cheerful handmade-style artwork. I enjoy creating designs that feel warm, whimsical, and full of personality while still being modern, versatile, and easy for today’s creators to use in their projects.
One of the most rewarding parts of running Pearly Arts is knowing that my artwork becomes part of someone else’s creativity. A teacher might use a clipart set for a classroom bulletin board. A parent might create printable activities for their child. A small business owner might use a design for stickers or social media graphics. Thinking about all the different ways people use these illustrations continues to inspire me every day.
I also believe there is something special about independent creative websites. The internet can sometimes feel very automated and impersonal, so I want Pearly Arts to feel different. Behind every clipart collection is a real person sketching ideas, choosing colors, adjusting tiny details, and genuinely enjoying the creative process. I hope visitors can feel that personal touch when they explore the site.
Thank you for supporting Pearly Arts and for supporting independent artists like me. Every visit, download, kind message, and share truly means a lot. I’m incredibly grateful to be able to continue growing this creative space and sharing new artwork with people around the world.
I hope Pearly Arts brings a little extra creativity, color, and joy to your projects.

How Every Illustration Gets Made
From the first pencil sketch to the finished PNG file you download — here’s a peek at my creative process.

Pen & Paper First
Usually, illustration begins the old-fashioned way — with a real pen and real paper. I sketch out my ideas by hand, working through shapes, expressions, and compositions until it feels just right. →

Photograph the Drawing
Once the hand-drawn sketch is finished, I photograph it and bring it into Adobe Illustrator. No drawing tablets, no shortcuts — just a real sketch ready to be transformed. →

Trace & Color in Illustrator
Inside Illustrator, I carefully trace over my sketch and to create clean, crisp vector lines. I also modify the illustration. Then comes the fun part — filling each illustration with color until it feels cheerful, balanced, and alive.→

Export & Upload
The finished artwork is exported as a transparent PNG file and uploaded to the site — ready for you to download and use in your next creative project.
